SIMAI is an ENAC certified GSA. It was born in 1960 with the aim to be the provider of all General Sales Agent operations for Airline Companies. Work all over the most important italian airports, relying on a staff of 98 elements. Our customer service and booking office are in Rome Fiumicino, Milano, Venice, Bologna, Pisa and L’Aquila airports.

SIMAI represents Air Malta as Italian General Sales and Handling Agent.


The managment has a 20 years experience in airport field, and was able to reach a highly competitive level in the market as for the services offered.

    SIMAI has a strategic role in the whole air shipment process : it provides a valuable assistance in Company support to obtain an important part of the market and optimize company costs. In the meantime it optimizes the services offered to the customers, thanks to speed, quality, flexibility, completeness and competitivity, satisfying every customer need. Air and transport market complexity and the desire to optimize the whole process represented for us a boost to elaborate new models able to satisfy every Customer need.

  • Handling

    The Company as concerning any kind of cargo activities, Simai is certified to totally represent any carriers at national and international level, about import and export cargo handling. High quality standards are guaranteed.
    The company can perform all cargo check, control and handling operations from the moment it arrives at the airport, storage in the warehouse, necessary Information to the competent organisms (customs included), cargo acceptance and delivery, document issuing and transfer to the consignee.

  • Cargo

    In Italy, cargo and handling operations are performed by our company in Milan Linate and Malpensa, Turin, Venice, Rome Fiumicino, Catania, Palerm, Lamezia Terme e Reggio Calabria. In Europe we operate at Paris ad Amsterdam Airports.
    Our branch is located within the Cargo City complex in Rome Fiumicino. Thus it is easier for our staff to access to warehauses and ramp, for goods airport control.

  • Door to Door Transfer Service

    We created a complete door to door transfer service , with the aim to enhance goods transport. We provide a fast and accurate service providing both road and air transport, in all its steps. This kind of shipment is provided both for general and special cargo, like temperature controlled goods, valuables, socio-cultural relevant goods, human remains, liveing human organs.

  • On Board Courier

    Our OBC is a special transport solution specifically realized to satisfy our customer most exclusive needs. It assures high quality standards as for speed, effectiveness, privacy, reliability and safety of the most special goods, such as highly confidential documents, extremely urgent pharmaceuticals, urgent spare parts, haute couture creations, valuables etc.

  • Customs Operations

    We offer a thoroughfully indirect representation in this field, performing all kind of customs operations necessary to import, export and transit cargo, from and to tird countries, outside EU: MTC handling, customs clearance and import goods nationalisation from non EU countries, export goods transport, handling of transit cargo between two different customs sections.
